Fuse as you say is the 60A on top of the battery. Relay is position 12 (bottom row right) above the main fusebox inside the cab. The relay is timed by its earth from the small terminal controlled by the ecu pin 42. Had a couple lately with the wire (yellow/blue) broken in the engine loom back to the ecu.
2.5 tdi ajt pump timing. I've had this 2.5 tdi ajt since last august/september and it's always been a bit pants at starting, and when it does it smokes a lot. I figured out the pump timing was out, VCDS say too retarded. Hi, I've had a lot of problems with white smoke recently and having done a lot of surfing and speaking to a few knowledgables the concensus is: White smoke = unburnt fuel. Black smoke =poor air/fuel ratio (i.e. partly combusted fuel, lots of soot) Blue smoke = oil.

I had a couple of mechanics listen to it and they suggested camshaft wear, even though it doesn't seem to come from there.
